Progression of MEANWHILE
MEANWHILE is an artist-run gallery; a space for exhibitions, artist studios spaces, and public programmes. Established in July 2016, we are now 3 years old and have worked on over 100 projects.
Our physical space is located at Level 2, 99 Willis Street, Te Aro, Te Whanganui-a-Tara. MEANWHILE provides a platform and opportunities for early-career contemporary creative practitioners to stage ambitious projects, without the constraints of a commercially focussed gallery. At the centre of this project a kaupapa to promote and support more diverse perspectives and voices within the community.
We are looking for some new facilitators to join our current team of 5. Working at MEANWHILE, we expect you to uphold the established Mission, Vision and Safer Spaces Policy put in place and continue to progress MEANWHILE as an inclusive contemporary art space. MEANWHILE requires a mutual agreement and understanding towards running a volunteer-based entity. Importance is placed on clear communication within the team, keeping a high level of professionalism and transparency. You will be held to the condition of giving 3 weeks notice when you are leaving. Leave is given when wanted and needed and is put in a shared calendar.
