22 JANUARY - 11 FEBRUARY 2019
Lying, Laughing, Loving uses the early 2000’s T.V. show, The L Word as a cultural reference to explore art within a fictional narrative, as well as critique media representation of queer bodies. The artist utilises their own body as a political tool within their performance based practice. A 1.2x1.8M self-portrait was hung on the front-facing exterior of MEANWHILE as a kind of temporary billboard. The documentation of the performance will be displayed in MEANWHILE window gallery - extending a representation of the artist’s body to the public, as well as testing MEANWHILE’s physical bounds.
